Origin, diffusion and economic characteristics

French breed originating in Limousin, Region of Central France.
Rustic and restful, it is a good laying egg with a marked hatching attitude.
The fine and thin feathers are used for the production of baits (flies) for sport fishing.
The Nana variety is mostly bred.

Morphological characteristics

Variety: black, blue.
Simple ridge with 5-6 points. Bare and red face.
Red wattles and mumps.
Tarsi with thin bone structure, light gray and pink on the sides. The tarsi are darker in the black variety.
The plumage is characteristic and bright.

Medium weight:
- Roosters 2,5-3,0 kg
- Hens 2.0 kg

Weight Nana variety:
- Gauls: 1.0 kg
- Hens: 0.8 kg
