Origins and attitudes
The Nafan Pony or Indigenous Tibetan is originally from Tibet (China). Uncertain but ancient origins. Seems to come from the Mongolian Pony. It developed in a difficult region and therefore became robust and adaptable.
Frugal and indefatigable, it is used for some, saddle and farm work. Very similar to Spiti.
Morphological characters
Type: mesomorphic.
Coat: sorcino, isabella, baio, sauro, morello.
Height at the withers: 125 cm.
Weight: 300 - 350 kg.
Lively, energetic, sincere character.
